I have my settings to get the feeds and speeds from the tool. But 2025 honors it sometimes and other times not so much.

If I create a path and select a tool. it gets the feeds and speeds from the tool. But If I copy that same path and select a different tool it will not change the speeds and feeds. Anybody else notice this? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

update: never mind I just figured out there is a setting to lock feed rates in the config file

2025 is a freakin' train wreck.
Some of the ModuleWorks toolpaths are producing really excellent results and I'm starting a
difficult 5X vane project so I thought I would do it in 2025.
I started at 6AM this morning... it's now 9:20 and I've filed three bug reports  :-\

I've just made it a habit to right click on the tool and select 'reinitialize speeds and feeds' on copied operations.  It's extra clicks but it works every time and keeps me out of trouble.  I don't even think about it anymore, it's just part of the process.

I'm 100% certain there's a LOT of those work-around types of things that us Power Users do that have just become 2nd nature to do and we don;t even realize it anymore. So then when a n00b asks, we're like "... works for me...".

Once I figure out a work around for something, I do it and move on.

After I installed 2025 I couldn't select a solid unless I windowed around it. QC told me to remove the "My Mastercam" folder and restart. that worked. And now I'm finding config options I never knew existed. I had just been migrating my old config files for...decades.

One thing I DO NOT EVER do on a new release; Migrate my config file. Never, not ever!

Theoretically it "should" be ok, but eff that. It takes all of 20min to go in and reset the config stuff. Time well spent and you get to see some of the new stuff.

I did not used to migrate Operations and Default Operations either. I decided to give it a shot in 2025. So far, things have worked as expected.

well good! then you are my guy for this next question. How do you make the Toggle Display toolpath off, the default setting?

I've always been able to create a toolpath and when It was done generating the toolpath would not be displayed unless I hit Alt+t.  now it is displayed and I'm having to hit Alt+t to turn it off.

Exactly...we just get it done....I feel gcode's pain...this version is trying my patience some days...yet none of my guys or any other user in the building has complained...

Just "T" is sufficient. No need for Alt+.

IIRC, either File, Configuration, Screen "Toolpaths" uncheck, or Toolpath Manager Display Options Text Descriptors Toolpath Display Unchecked..

I've got maybe 5 hours on 2025 so far. By the end of today it'll probably north of 15.

Re-Programming our 5-Axis test part. It's got a little of everything in it. We use it to test machine functions. It resembles a Circle Diamond Square but with a 5-Axis required feature.

We shall see...

Remember that "T" (or Alt+T, whatever) will react either in the Toolpath manager or in the graphics view.  If your mouse is over the toolpath manager, you're toggling that particular toolpath's visibility (the same as the the blue wavy lines icon on the bar at the top of the manager).  If you're in the graphics side of the screen, then T will affect whether ANY toolpaths are displayed.

You're probably just over the the toolpaths...
