Why wouldn't you just set The C drive to align the BBar at the Gap??

And finish at the gap. wouldn't that give you more clearance for chip Drag?

I've seen something similar running production
thought there was a little more room and the feed rate during entry/exit was much slower

This is a sample program at a trade show. Doesn't do any cutting, just shows the capabilities of the tool in repetition.

My mentor back in my DO days had done something similar for a RollsRoyce EDM job back in the 70s.
It was a "90 ish" degree electrode that rolled into position but was only a single rotational arc (bearing box and it rotated).
