I'm on a desktop PC in the DNC-Max client in the split window dialog. For the DNC we currently don't do anything from the machine side, everything is from a shop floor PC. Not sure if we even can do anything on the machine side, I don't know enough about the system.

I also just heard back from my reseller (Steve Biehl @ Cimquest) he said he's going to ask Cimco about the search function.

The reason I ask, is that (and it may be me being confused), but there isn't a search function as such in the DNC Max client, only the ability to browse folders. There is a search function in NCBase (which links to DNC MAx). However, you have Steve Biehl on the case, and he is a guru, so you're well covered :)

The help is very much appreciated.

You're right there isn't an actual "search bar", but when I start typing into the file name field it tries to autocomplete the filename (like when you start typing into the google search bar and a list of suggestions comes up). This makes it feel like if I click one of the "autocomplete filenames" it should select it for transfer.

Ah, I havent noticed the autocomplete thing. To be honest, I normally use either a scanner, or choose the file manually.

Steve Biehl will sort you out. He is very good at what he does :)
