Do you remember the story of Michael Forbes?  The Scottish farmer who refused to sell his land to Trump for a golf course?  They threatened to take his land via eminent domain, cut the farmers water off while building a road and was supposed to fix the line that fed their well. After the line was broke, the well was being filled with road run-off and was contaminated. The family had to battle it out with Trumps company for something like 5 years. They had reporters arrested when they came to ask why the farmers water hadn't been restored?

I brought the story up in response to the "Trump bad" sarcasm. 

There was a documentary made about this long before Trump ran for office.  Here is Roger Ebert's (yea, I know, who gives a shit about Roger Ebert) comments on the documentary, and you can't blame this on politics.

"The most fascinating aspect of the documentary is "Trump's almost joyous rudeness" and that "the underlying message is that if you are rich and powerful enough, you can run roughshod over tradition and private property rights and buy your place at the table."

I saw that the documentary was on Plex last weekend.  I'm going to give it a watch this weekend.

I didn't like Trump when he ran in 2016 and still don't
I loved a lot of what he did as President with some things.. other things, not so much.
However, when I look at what the left has become in the UK and what they are becoming here,
there is no option but to oppose them.
I wish he wasn't such an asshole, but you go to war with the army you have, not the army you wish you had.
and ... sadly ... Trump is all we've got.

I know that I've done way more than my share.  Although it didn't cause anyone to lose their job or their home. Or even affect them financially. My being an asshole has had little to no impact on peoples lives.
