Don't tell anyone, but when YoDoug came by the booth he admitted to eating a steak while traveling for IMTS. :cheer:  :flame:  :cheer:  :bdh:

WTF was Sandvik thinking by not bringing any cutting tools to the show?

As much as I love their tooling and how great it is, the people that run that company are loony birds.

Did anyone who went to the show visit their booth by chance?

No, from a video I saw, they're just standing there in yellow coats and promoting wellness.

When in Rome! Seriously though, Our Okuma dist took us to Weber grill steakhouse for dinner. Not one single decent choice there for a vegan. They had an impossible burger on the menu. A very expensive steakhouse was offering the same effing burger I can get at Burger king 2 for $6.

I saw that when I walked by. I didn't even stop in to talk to anyone in their booth.

'somebody' (i guess that was AMT management) refused to allow 'anyone' from bringing cutters from what they said to us. They were not happy to see wall to wall cutters everywhere else.
 It's inexplicable..

I didn't go to their booth but I did get a good steak and libations on their dime. (and thanks, btw)
They have a bluetooth live tool that can be monitored via a coromat app on the okuma LB2000, if anyone is interested.

Went Tuesday thru Friday, Had fun, Caught up with a few friends I haven't seen in years.
The Matsuura Dinner Cruise was fun. Perfect Weather.

The Modig upside down 5 axis was interesting, I wish they would actually take a cut instead of air-cutting.
Curious how stable the design is.  https://modig.se/

The Hermle Flex System blew me away. Robot can grab full pallets or just 52/96MM Top Tooling from any Manufacturer. (Schunk, Lang, Mate, 5th Axis, etc.) Full Mill/Turn capability.

Looking at the latest Verisurf, is anybody here running this with a Zeiss CMM instead of Calypso?
