My daughter had surgery to remove the mass from insider her chest. after opening her up, they didn't find what they expected to see, they were expecting to see Thymoma which is a simple type of contained cancer to remove. There weren't exactly sure what she had and the mass was "growing around several structures" what ever that means. So they took a biopsy and sent it off. Basically it's one of 2 things Lymphoma which is the best case scenario and they are confident through chemo they can cure her. or it's Thymic Carcinoma, which is aggressive and doesn't respond well to treatment. In that scenario, they would open her back up remove what they can, and try to get her as much time as possible through chemo or radiation treatment.  The waiting on pathology is brutal. Although she is handling it better than any of us. I am so inspired by her strong faith.

Wow...I am just catching up on this thread.

Continued prayers for Kaleb and Lucinda. 

I am also amazed at the resilience and faith of our kids and grandkids that often puts us to shame!

I spent the weekend with my son Jimmy who is wheelchair bound because of MS.
His wife is an awesome caretaker, but she wanted to attend a baby shower out of town this weekend for one of her nieces, so my wife and I took the weekend shifts helping him.

Just spending a day with him makes me aware of how much of a struggle it is for him every day, and I am always amazed at his attitude, which is to just make the best of each day.

I was also blessed to be able to do the funeral service for my brother-in-law's brother who passed away a few weeks ago.  Those things always serve to remind us of our own mortality, and to make us more grateful to the Lord for each day we have been given to spend with those we love.

An update on Lucinda:
She's been diagnosed with Classic Hodgkins Lymphoma. That is the best news we could have hoped for, for where we are. It has a 90% cure rate.  She got a real dose of reality yesterday as she went to the cancer center for a blood test and had to walk past the infusion center to get it done. But as she said this morning, "I can do hard things for a short time in order to have the rest of my time. Her faith has been so strong and she just keeps finding blessings and joy through it all.
