Looks like DeSantis is "playing politics" again.

QuoteKamala Wants To Help With Hurricane Relief But DeSantis Refuses To Tell Her Where Florida Is

Quote"I holistically tried to get him to tell me, but he couldn't take the joy," Kamala complained in a press conference. "And then I asked him to give me the first letter of the state or states that might be around Florida and he wouldn't do that either! What's with this jerk? I'm just trying to help and all he wants to do is play politics. I'm from a middle-class family, too, you know! HAHAHA!"

Quote from: ghuns on October 09, 2024, 11:45 AMMy aunt and uncle, who recently moved down from Ohio, are going to experience their first hurricane in Winter Haven. Bout in the middle of the state, but right on the center of the path.

My aunt had a stroke recently, so she'll be safe in the hospital. Uncle is going to stay with friends in a house that's more sturdy than their trailer. He's pretty stoked. He was a weather weenie in the USAF back in the 70s.

I have a cousin that lives in Winter Haven. I have not hear how he did. He is young, just out of Chiropractic school and renting an apartment. So hopefully he didn't sustain any damages to his own stuff.

Our facility and the corporate condo faired well. We were far enough south that the winds were much less and we didn't get any water in either. We do have one employee that lives up in Venice, which was very close to where the eye of storm passed over. I have not hear if his house took and damage or flooding.

Glad to hear your place is good, and hoping the same for your employee.

We haven't heard from my wife's brother in Sarasota yet.
Last she spoke to him, they were planning on NOT evacuating.

He has been suffering from vertigo for quite some time, so driving more than just a quick trip to the store is almost impossible for him, and his wife doesn't drive at all.
My thought was that they could get to his sister's house in Georgia if they did need to evacuate, but my wife told me he could never drive that far, especially in that bumper-to-bumper traffic we saw on tv.

My niece lives in Winter Haven. She reported the power out, a window screen that was torn by flying debris, and parts of her privacy fence were blown away, but otherwise not much damage.

She says all the neighbors are coming together, sharing coffee, food, and generator power as good neighbors should do.

So uh.......

Biden.......

Yeah, listen to this and tell me why he hasn't been put out to pasture:

Trump needs to "get a life and start helping people".
And the Prime Minister of Israel is "coming over to help with the storm"

Found this on AP News

It seems it was a North Carolina national guard delivery gone bad.

You twitter guys are just as bad a Youtube guys...

FACT FOCUS: Online posts make unfounded claims about a helicopter delivering aid in North Carolina

My buddy who stayed at Disney as Milton came through said that it didn't get too bad. He said it was about like a Kansas thunderstorm which, admittedly, can seem pretty violent.
