what were his words. I must be missing something. the interviewer asked about his thoughts on restricting access to birth control and his exact words were

nothing in that statement says, I don't like birth control. It just says we have a policy coming out, we think it's a smart policy and we'll be releasing it very soon.

He still never once said he was going to make any type of restrictions. He literally said 'we are discussing our policy stance, we will release it once it is finalized'. YOU are reading into his words, nobody else.
