Quote from: Jeff on October 29, 2024, 08:11 AMThat's because the libtards know they're in trouble.
It was probably unhinged white women who did this.
And I'm willing to bet they had blue hair.

Quote from: Jeff on October 29, 2024, 10:11 AMThat's just conjecture and supposition,

What in the hell do you call that?   :harhar:

Quote from: neurosis on October 29, 2024, 10:03 AMThere has been some local reports that this was potentially carried out by online activist groups. It's suspected that they are groups that don't approve of this type of voting (vote by mail). Another allegation was that some of the same people were pissed that Trump didn't appear on the voters pamphlet in Oregon.

"In September, the Department of Homeland Security said in an intelligence brief, obtained through public records request by the nonprofit government transparency group Property of the People, that ballot drop boxes are seen as "soft targets" based on online discussions "on forums frequented by [domestic violent extremists] and other threat actors with election-related grievances."

The department wrote that similar online discussions occurred in previous election cycles as well. In 2020, about 100 ballots were damaged when a ballot drop box was set on fire in Los Angeles. That same month in Boston, dozens of ballots were damaged when a man officials said appeared "emotionally disturbed" set a drop box on fire near a public library."

I disagree with this so am going to automatically call this a conspiracy theory

One is fact the other is an educated guess.

Yes but I'm not a writer for a local article.

The report I heard was on the radio.  I posted a quote from an npr article.

They use a lot of big words like 'alleged' when they don't have all of the facts.  Unlike allot of the supposition here.

Everyone says alleged nowadays. Even when there's video of a person committing a crime. I hate it.

I don't disagree.

The radio station I listen to is owned by Sinclair broadcasting. They have a pretty equal amount of left vs right on-air staff and they usually pair one from each side together.  I usually feel like I'm getting a pretty even assessment on the things they talk about. If nothing else, you get to hear two people argue about it for a while.

They based their commentary on the excerpt from the article I posted so I feel like they didn't just pull some opinions straight out of their asses. It was based on an intelligence brief from the Department of Homeland Security. Obviously, they don't have all of the facts yet and they've said as much, but based on the current available information, I'd probably believe that their assessment is closer to the truth than some Antifa twit is sabotaging/burning ballots in a State(s) where Democrats support mail in voting and a majority of the voters lean left.

Do we need to fact check what a fact is?

This just happened in Minnesota. Hennepin County (basically Minneapolis) hadn't hired any republican election judges from the list provided by the MNGOP. Supreme Court slapped them hard.
