Agree to disagree.

They do have that power, however, those electors are (allegedly) residents of the state they represent therefore I believe they should fall under whatever rules that state decides.

Well, considering I was a Scoutmaster and Asst. Scoutmaster for 11 years (9 Eagle Scouts, 3 Life Scouts, and a dozen or so First and Second Class Scouts), Football Asst. Coach for 9 years, and Baseball coach for 17 years and had the good fortune to influence hundreds of boys and young men, you're absolutely welcome. I did my best. Hopefully it was enough.

At this point the only way to make Cali a better state is to burn it to the ground and start over.

My wife and I have just spent the last 4 days under a red flag notice.
It's been a little windy, nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year.
The red flag notice has been a text from the power company every 4 hours stating that they may shut our power off in the next 4 hours and if they do it will be off for 24 to 48 hours.
The reason is they are afraid a power line will fall in the wind and start a fire...
This did happen up north a few years back and a couple of hundred people burned to death as a result.

The untold truth however is that Cali has been making billions of dollars in offerings to the green energy gods
and neglecting basic infrastructure maintenance for years.
Everything may look all bright and shiny and new, but the simple truth is we're a third world country that can't even keep the fucking lights on.

My home has natural gas and I was looking at getting a natural gas generator to hook into the house to take over
during power shut downs, but of course these are now illegal

Technically they are not illegal, but I've talked to several contractors who said it is impossible to get a permit
and to a man have declined to give me a quote.

It's sort of like the motor home industry.
Motor homes are not illegal in Cali, but you cannot buy a compliant truck chassis to build one on, so in effect
new sales and manufacturing of motor homes is gone in Cali,

Jeff

I wonder how much money Cali politicians make off of the wildfires since they refuse to do maintenance on the forests.

The only generator legal in Kali is one powered by electricity.  :ball:

Lol, wtf. No generators or small engines at ALL? Changed to zero emission (at source)? Holy shit boys, it's clearly go-karts and lawnmowers that are responsible for all these hurricanes...

Too late to invest in lithum producers/processors now, but I bet the folks who penned that CARB legislation did.
