My own research has determined that the gullibility is strong in this one.

It is frustrating to watch the wonder of universal communication and the opportunity for nearly everyone to add their voices to global conversations, as a way to spread misinformation and fear.

We live in an era of unprecedented prosperity and comfort, yet the petty desire to be seen as having unique unconventional information, for many, outweighs society's need for responsible discourse.

Just my 2 cents.

Heard it reported on NPR this morning, so you know it's true, that not a single death can be directly attributed to any of the 'Rona vaccines.

If I momentarily pause my healthy sense of skepticism and buy that, it makes me wonder what the Covid death count would be if we applied the same standard and only counted deaths directly attributed to Covid. And I don't mean just throwing out the one guy who died in a motorcycle crash after a positive 'Rona test.

They are right.....What can be attributed to it at this point?  Nothing. Though the "possibility" remains that it "could" be a contributing factor.
Again reality, people drop dead every single day from maladies they didn't know they had, it happens.  If they drank orange juice the day before, does that make the OJ responsible? That's what you're attempting to do with the vaccine. Until their underlying health issues are known, via an autopsy, there is no attribution that can be made one way or another. People of course are always looking for a boogeyman.

Though, it does obfuscate the mere possibility of it happening...

Reality is, people can and do die and have health issues from vaccines and body responses to them. History however has shown those numbers to be quite small.

At this point in time, millions of people have had first and second doses...of course you never hear about that, only a death that can be sensationalized makes the news. The "if it bleeds, it leads".

Again, everyone has to make their decision based on what they think. I would only caution people to use credible data. Anyone can say anything. People do themselves a disservice by not looking at the facts in front of them.

The woman who gave me my shot was wearing a Riverside Country Hospital uniform.
She gave me my shot, filled in my paperwork, handed me my vaccination record
and said "Congratulations Sir, You made it."
I didn't think much of it at the time, but later realized that whole lot of people didn't make it.

That was a disturbing post, Tom. Very useful, though. I wish more anti-vaxers could read that..

It's Russian roulette! Some get it and are fine. Others not fine. Co-worker in his mid 40's almost died from it. 2+ months later still has some breathing issues.

Nothing new to report on my end.
2nd  dose was a week ago today.
Other than a mild headache on day 3, no adverse effects of any kind so far.

Locally, new cases are down enough that we have moved from purple tier to red tier.
More businesses can open .. indoor dining is permitted at 25% capacity etc etc

At work they have gone to testing every two weeks, with no new cases in a month
One guy is still out sick, .about 6 weeks now...  really sick or milking disability??
I don't know.. but Facebook is not helping his cause.

Many of the guys at work, young and old,  who got sick and recovered report breathing problems now.
I hope that's not a long term thing.

I'm still working at home. I leave the house once a week for church.
I really like this and would happily do this forever. Don't think that will happen though.

Day 4(yesterday) after 2nd dose, I had what they refer to as "Covid Arm"

Soreness at the injection site, major itchiness though I did not get the generally associated rash that some report....today other than a bit of tenderness at the injection site, nothing else is going on...the other symptoms only lasted about 12 hours.

I have not changed my opinion even after I got it. It's an individual choice for each person based on their own personal set of circumstances.

All of us should not have to live our lives as though we are all high risk. That is completely absurd.

I don't know...

I have a friend that is in management in the Port of Los Angeles. Today there are 30-ish ships lined up waiting to get unloaded. Normally there are between 5 and 10 depending on who feels agreived and for what. The dock "workers" and I use the term workers in the absolute loosest of terms, every few weeks call in and say "... I think I was exposed to COVID..." and they automatically get minimum of a week off. Two days to wait, a day to test and two days to get results. At any given time up to 60% of the "workforce" (again, VERY loose term) is off on "COVID leave".

"One shot." - (Robert DeNiro in Deer Hunter)

Co-worker got Pfizer, so maybe that's mine. At the Wolstein Center (where Cleveland State plays, downtown...well, close enough...E.21st and Prospect).
