Co-worker's parents got both Pfizer shots. No reactions. Both in their 80's.

Right.
Yet millions of people are getting the mRNA type vaccine, so they are basically test subjects.
Those questions WILL be answered as time goes by.
Until then, I will remain skeptical.

Well, it really isn't "new" technology. They have been working it with it for years.
It is however the 1st time it's being used in this way within the general populace.

No thank you.

I am not in any high risk category other than over 55, and have been Uncle Sam's lab rat once already.
Hard pass until more data is available, and even then I would take the J&J vaccine before the mRNA type.

My daughter is studying sciences at Queens university and they are studying viruses in Biology this semester. She texted me this:

" Learning about mRNA vaccines right now... from my understanding of it, the vaccine is the mRNA that encodes for the protein that's the antigen. The mRNA is packages in lipid droplets and fused with the cell membrane to send mRNA into the cell. When the cell makes the pathogen protein, they send it off to the cell membrane and advertise the existence of the protein to the immune system."

I scheduled my 1st shot for next Wednesday. I would do it sooner but Monday I'm having an angiogram done of my carotid artery.
