gross misconduct and suppression and destruction of evidence are the allegations.

Quote from: beej on December 06, 2024, 09:25 AMit sounds like Trump is guilty of things he hasn't done yet. it's like we are trading in a moral\legal futures market

 Nobody's guilty of things they haven't done yet. That's silly. But if it looks very likely people are going to do things and then, when they do them, we shouldn't have to act surprised, do we?

Please explain to me how you can believe Trump is going to do the things he says he wants to do and then turn around and don't believe he's going to do the things he says he wants to do?

If that's the case how can you believe anything he says? Or not believe everything he says?

I guess, when it comes to Trump, people just choose to believe what they like and not what they don't like. Or what they don't want to admit to liking.

I'm not going to tell you more about Patel because I expect you already know, but it does kinda look like Trump wants to go after his political "enemies."

Now if he doesn't go after his political foes the way he's said he will we can all laugh it off to more Trump bluster, no harm done, right?

for one, I don't have a lot of high expectations for the Trump presidency. I'm not a "never Trumper" and I'm not a huge Trump fan either. So whether he will do what he said he's going to do, most politicians don't so, I guess we'll see.  But to your point in the debate when they asked him specifically whether he would go after his opponents, he said, "my success, meaning winning the election, would be his retribution."

Alright, fair enough.

If he would have stopped talking after the debate this might not even be a thing, but he didn't, so here we are having this conversation. :)

Check me if I'm wrong, but he never said that Cheney should be in Jail after the debate.

Sounds fair... Trump has been the victim of relentless lawfare for 3 years now.

What's good for the goose...

Context matters. He's saying she has no issue sending kids to war, but she would if she was there having 9 guns pointed at her on the battlefield. NOT A FUCKING FIRING SQUAD.
