I don't mean for timekeeping. Just to enter or exit the turnstiles. I'm not hourly. I don't clock in or out. The hourly people have special stations to do that.
Everything here is behind secure doors except for some office areas.

In 2012 we took a direct hit from a tornado. I imagine it has more to do with emergencies than anything else.

Makes sense frome a safety standpoint. When people are missing in a disaster are they "missing" or they gone.

We have to scan through pretty much everywhere.  Facial recognition when you come through the gate everyday.

Everybody here has a card.
The shop guys don't need Thiers.
They drive in the gate park and walk in the back door.
I could do that as well, but prefer to park in the front lot which is much easier on tires.
I come in the front door, which is locked 24/7 and requires a card to open.

Yup.. we can't go into the new year with more than 80 hrs of vacation time on the books
so I had to cash out the excess on this week's paycheck.
I cashed out $6K worth of vacation. Between the state and the Feds, I got to keep $2200  :flipbird:

and here I am trying to decide when to take the final day I have without carrying more than our allotment...

If we don't use it, we lost it.

Maybe next Friday and I'll bail a day earlier than planned, then I'll be out til Jan 2, 2025

I can honestly say that I haven't missed work for even a moment

Of course everyone is different.

WTF...  I'd value my time off much more than losing 60% of what its worth.

We get paid out in full if we cash our vacation out.  I don't have that problem, I'm doing good to get 40 in lol
