CLARIFICATION: In a Facebook post, Madison Police said they erroneously reported the wrong amount of deaths and injuries. The following is their correction: "Shooting update: At this time, three people are deceased. During the media briefing earlier this afternoon, it was erroneously shared 5 were deceased. Again, three people are deceased. Nine in total were injured, including the three deceased."

Because the mental health crisis in this country is pretty bad.  Not knowing what gender you are is a mental health problem.

It truly is and a big one at that..we can hide behind all the "acceptance" culture that that we'd like but it is only masking a real mental health crisis.

Yes, throughout history, there have always been people that were attracted same sex individuals. There is no denying that...

What we are seeing now is so far beyond that in scale and scope.

Where do we go from here? About the only thing I have identified is we need a serious push on mental health treatment. Frankly, there are people walking free that should likely be in a place that is safe for them and safe for the rest of society.

The machinations of how we get there I don't know but this another another serious national conversation that needs to be had but instead, we will all likely demagogue, yell at each other and call each other names and in the end we will solve nothing.

That is why I said "but have no confirmation on that yet". It was being reported by various people at the start of the news flow. Not once did I say it was clear they were trans, I was relaying what others had said. From the witness reports I was reading they said "looked trans". Again for your slow reading comprehension I said "but have no confirmation on that yet".
