I went to the supermarket across the street from my apartment in Montreal and there was a little old lady handing out samples of 11% alcohol beer. The liquor store in the same shopping center one time was handing out samples of cuban rum. Maybe that influenced my opinion.

I will say that I've had better Mexican food in one night of visiting Canada than I've ever had in 3-1/2 years of living in Michigan. Don't know how that works, but thank you for that. Almost felt like I was back in California.
