Made it to Frankfurt Germany.

THAT is thee largest clusterfuk airport I have ever had the misfortune to visit.
Online goooogling had already told us that if we had a connecting flight, best get a "taxi" to get us to where we next need be,
Even with this, getting immediately collected, taken down the stairs through the "back doors" to ground level, jumping in a car, and being driven across the airport, walking up the stairs and through a magic door back into the mayhem of the airport and where we next needed to be, we made it with 10 minutes to gate opening.
Without doubt, we would never have made it on time without the personal service.
Best part....the "boarding", was through the gate, back down to ground level, get in a bus, which then drove us 10 minutes back across the airport and we boarded the plane up steps from ground level....and the plane we had previously arrived on, was only parked 3 or 4 away....

We got warned before we got off the plane. Check your gate because they change constantly.   Other than that, it hasn't been bad. We had to go through customs here and that went pretty fast.  We did have a 4 hour layover here

We're going to Rome next to do some sight seeing and then the family is sending me back while they spend another week in Europe. My girlfriends sister and mom are in Amsterdam right now.

Rome = Capital of bag snatches/Pickpockets/Scams
Be very careful....but enjoy.
The open top bus tours are very good because there is so much to see.
