there is always one more thing to live for. That's what I saw with my parents. A wedding coming up, a baby being born, a grandson graduating,  etc.

I  can't speak on whether he's right or wrong about his "meddling in foreign affairs" after he served as POTUS because I was too young to be following politics at the time, but he did a shit ton for humanity and housing I'm pretty sure.

He 100% meddled in foreign policy matters when out of office yet was frozen by the hostage crisis while in office.
 Say what you want about George W. letting our boys and girls get blown up Iraq for no appearant reason, but at least he had the balls to actually do something while in office and STFU when out

I watched a documentary about him 10-15 years ago. One of the things that stood out was one of his cabinet members saying that Carter's biggest problem was that he wouldn't delegate and couldn't multi-task. It could be an oversimplification but that stood out to me as terrible traits for a president.

His biggest problem was he was a Washington outsider and didn't know how to use Congress.

1) Her gave too much credibility to the US "Intelligence" apparatus... probably at the behest of his father and he wasn6astute enough to wave the bullshit flag.
2) Give an enemy more than about 2 seconds of warning and they'll get rid of whatever "evidence" manufactured or otherwise.
3) Her indeed had balls AND he took EVRRY US Military loss of life hard.

1) When you rely on your so-called intelligence community to give you accurate information... has the CIA ever got anything right? 

2) When you announce to your enemy "we're coming" and you don't have a plan to seal the the whole country  off... bad strategy and tactics. That's on the military. 

I still think the chemical weapons made their way to Syria and then to... there's no way they used their whole stockpile on the Kurds. Just sayin'... 

3) What happens after we invade... that... that right there is 100% on Bush. He broke it, he was obligated to have a plan to fix it, and he didn't.  Or, the people he charged with executing the plan failed. Either way that is completely on him. That goes for both Iraq and Arghanistan.

Had we kept middle level Baath Party leaders in place instead of villifyig them all, Iraq would have went WAY smoother. 

Had after we devastated the Taliban's leadership in Afghanistan... instead of villifying them, bring them to the diplomatic table instead of installing our chosen puppets, tell them in no uncertain terms you will educate women, you will create a fair Judicial system, you will stop the barbaric behavior, we could have been successful there and not lost the war.

Kennedy's invasion of South East Asia and Cuba were not our best time. I could see why the CIA blew his head off.
