People just trying to celebrate new Year's and get run over.  That's awful

Been on that street many times.  I'm surprised they only killed 10 people, you're basically fish in a barrel.

Some accounts on X are reporting that the truck came through the border at Eagles Pass, Texas 2 days ago.
The truck has a flagstaff attached to the trailer hitch. There is a black flag on the flag staff, but it has been zip tied up so that you cannot see what kind of flag it is.

It looks like the truck ran into a manlift which prevented it from going further down the street
The back window of the truck has a half dozen bullet holes through it.
Reports state 2 police officers were shot.
There is also a photo of a guy in brown cammo with a long grey and white beard dead at the driver's door of the truck.
Assuming any of this is accurate, the truck hit the manlift, the guy came out shooting and was killed soon there after,

At press conference they stated they had found multiple IED's in French Quarter?

I thought I had heard an extremist calling for Jihad prior to new Years eve. (Reuters)??
