a little experience 15 years ago
a shop I did some work with used it
They had a fleet of JOBS gantry mills and used Tebis.
It was very powerful for surfacing toolpaths but things went south quickly with 3+2 drilling and milling.
There was no 5X work in the project I was involved in.

again ... that was 15 years ago and probably not relevant to the current versions

I encountered someone with it about six years ago. They gave me a quick tour of it. It looked very powerful. They were doing some nice 5 axis work, and the toolpaths looked very good.

That is about all I know of it.

No direct experience, but from some scouting a few years I was quite impressed how they regioned/broke-up the toolpaths into logical chunks for processing.   It seemed to handle some absolutely massive molds & pressform parts better than anything else I saw.

Unfortunately I've never even talked to someone who has used it in real life so I have nothing else to go on, but if I were doing stuff like that regularly, I'd certainly look into it.. .Just make sure you demo it on a proper mix of real parts you do!

the work we put in the Tebis shop was relatively simple large 3+2 work and they failed miserably
I don't know if it was their CAM or the work was outside their skillset

My previous employer had a seat, they quite liked it, however I wasn't personally involved with.
It was used it exclusively for 5x work in FPT machines (Pragma, Dino, Stinger) with Heidenhain controllers.
We built pretty large / complex plastic injection molds.

I've personally never seen it in the wild.

I just spoke to someone who used it for a while. They didn't say whole lot, but they told me for dies and molds, it was excellent, producing some very good toolpaths, and it was quick at processing. He said it is was the quickest processing CAM software he had ever used. He said it seemed like it was orientated towards die and mold.

Instagram user 5ax_eumel makes some really satisfying sample parts using the software (believe he is an apps guy for Tebis)

Just checked his page.  That looks like a really fun job!  Reminds me of when I had my company.  we used to do a lot of really cool parts!
