It started about 5 AM Ice pellets , at 9 AM changed to Snow and Now it is Freezing Rain.

It will refreeze tonite and is supposed to end by 6AM.


Tomorrow morning will be a shit show.

All the stores here are closing at 3 PM. Today.

So we got a layer off Ice with 3" of snow on top and then a .25 layer of Ice on that.

Thought I could go out to the car and just sweep the snow off.

Let's just say your local towing companies and body shops will see a pretty good uptick in business. 

I live in an area where we get snow and ice fairly regularly every winter, and I would guess about 1/3 of the people around here STILL suck at driving in it.

One of my nephews owns a towing company here in northeast PA and he told me business always jumps up significantly whenever we get snow.
It's mostly towing fender-benders and pulling cars out of ditches, but hey, it pays his bills!

To be fair, the rest of the country doesn't know how to drive in any other conditions. I swear here in Michigan people were taught from birth that making a left turn is the most dangerous thing that anyone ever has ever had to do anytime in the history of the world. Get out in the intersection you fucking morons!

At least in Cali they dive 90+ on the freeway during rush hour with 3 feet between vehicles, just the way it is supposed to be. (And stay out of the fucking left lane unless passing, dammit.)

Weather has been cold as a witch's tit here, but we're not supposed to get any snow all week. Which means it will snow. A lot.

Daughter down in Bloomington, IN has about 8" of snow and light coating of freezing rain on top.

Boy kid in KC ain't going anywhere for awhile. They are buried.

We got about 12 inches of snow here. I pulled the grandkids around on an old car hood that we keep just for times like this with the 4 wheeler. they are all badly bruised and frost bitten, but a good time was had by all.
