You have never mentioned you lost your sight. :(

You did mention some Pics .

But I am adverse as it sticks with me in my head in the middle of the night . >:(

We have similarities in Upbringing.

My apologies if I crossed a Line. :(

Quote from: neurosis on January 17, 2025, 01:35 PMDo you live there or are you paying taxes there?

What does that matter?

And for the record my aunt was a wildfire watch in Cali for 40 years. Started in .gov side and eventually moved to  New Mexico in the 2000s doing private watching for Ted Turner because the bureaucracy in Cali is insane and she could sense something big was coming. And she is a lifelong democrat...

I thought you only had issues with it. Not Blindness. :(

Yea.. speaking seriously, my retina was destroyed by the radiation therapy.  It kinda fucked up more than that but it's still not as bad as what's going on with JP.

I'm blind in half of my right eye.. So I can see out of the outer half but the inner half just see's black.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Quote from: neurosis on January 17, 2025, 01:24 PMIt's definitely hypocritical to say that one side politicises? What' the record on politicizing disaster relief?

And not to stick up for Cali.  I'm not a fan of their politics, but how much does that state contribute to federal taxes compared to any other state in the country.  How are their citizens being held hostage by a bunch of hypocritical republicans?
The PRK is the most populous state in the union so it stands to reason they would contribute the most federal taxes.

They comprise ~17% of the Electoral College vote also.

You say "held hostage", I say they literally "created this mess".

Strip away all the theater, and just look at the disaster itself for what it was; "a likely", or "an inevitable" situation. The LA Basin has been burning for 100's if not 1,000's of years.

When you REPEATEDLY elect people that are incompetent, you kind of get what's coming. Sometimes you even get it good and hard.

I only ask because I see this in Seattle all the time.  I don't live in Seattle so don't judge me on this.

There are a ton of people, even locally, that judge Seattle on their politics. None of them live there. None of them have to deal with Seattle politics.  They just like to complain.

I do too, but I have to self reflect some times.  I'm not dealing with it and I'm not voting for it so why do I give a shit?

I get that, but do they (the citizens) still not deserve disaster relief?

They deserve relief... AFTER North Carolina gets it's relief. I get the weather is better in LA and government shitbirds would rather hang out at the beach than in the snow, wind and rain of NC, but that's the fuckin' job!

LA can wait it's turn... ESPECIALLY since they continue to hire/vote for incompetent people.

I'd agree that one doesn't deserve more relief than the other.  Is that what's happening? Were their string attached on relief to the other?

Because the saying "Don't California my Texas" (or anywhere else for that matter) rings true. California has a huge representation in this country, and many blue states are starting to copy their moronic ways. Minnesota is one of them.

Before the election .

They were instructed to avoid the homes with Trump Signs.

So I would say Yes.
