Quote from: neurosis on January 17, 2025, 02:13 PMI'd agree that one doesn't deserve more relief than the other.  Is that what's happening? Were their string attached on relief to the other?

I'm seeing the government(FEMA) coming in and stopping the building of temporary housing because sleeping in a tent is safer than sleeping in a shed. I'm seeing hotel vouchers ending and kicking these people out into snowstorms.

Quote from: RobertELee on January 17, 2025, 02:15 PMBecause the saying "Don't California my Texas" (or anywhere else for that matter) rings true. California has a huge representation in this country, and many blue states are starting to copy their moronic ways. Minnesota is one of them.

Well, you're going to have to tell me how that's going to change with disaster relief.  I'm not making the connection.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

They were instructed to avoid the homes with Trump Signs.

So I would say Yes.
Then there's THAT...

Let's go back to the rubbing the dog's nose in it's shit lesson...

Sometimes lessons are hard... and painful.

Voting for incompetent politicians to run your city may not always end in literal disaster, but sometimes it just might.

I tried that. It didn't always work.

So I put them on a leash , and watched them constantly.

Maybe that's what we should do. :D

That wasn't in regards to disaster relief. That was in regards to your comment "I'm not dealing with it and I'm not voting for it so why do I give a shit?" because shit rolls down hill, and Cali politics is the echelon of democratic rule. That is why I give a shit about Cali politics, my state, your state, all the democrat controlled states are turning into what is Cali. And the disaster that is Cali politics is scary.

I've been sounding that alarm for almost my entire adult life. Sure... you may have a moderate Democrat representative that more closely aligns with your compass.... but your Democrat is owned by a Kommiefornia Democrat. How can I say that? Easy; Nancy Pelosi... not once but TWICE elected to Speaker of the House. Like I said... OWNED.

And if you go independant/off the reservation, you get Tulsi Gabbarded...

I don't care for California politics either. Nor do I care for Seattle politics.

I don't think my opinion of their politics should dictate their disaster relief.

We can judge them all we want but I'd bet if you were to do the math, there are more Republican voters in California than there are in any other State in the Country.

Think about that for a minute.

Here's a little bit of the bassackwardness on what Cali requires when they will rebuild.

My opinion of their politics isn't dictating disaster relief. But O'Bidens opinion of NC and SC and FL and GA's politics is dictating their disaster relief. If they don't get major relief, neither should Cali.

You are likely correct, but the democrats have twice that of the republicans.
