US appeals court again rejects blanket gun ban for non-violent felons

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Taking away a Constitutional right from any individual is a serious matter.
SCOTUS has already ruled numerous times that people convicted of violent felonies do indeed forfeit their 2nd Amendment rights.

Extending that principle to those convicted of non-violent misdemeanors as well is a dangerous overreach that the Appeals Court has properly recognized, and ruled accordingly IMO.

Otherwise, what's next?
Losing your right to keep and bear arms for a couple of speeding tickets, or parking violations?
That's a VERY slippery slope that this Appeals Court has also apparently recognized, and does not want to set foot on, so to speak.  :yes:
