I don't think that anyone is under the illusion that the whole point of releasing this information wasn't to show the incompetency of the people in charge of our National Security. If it were the Biden admin and this was sent to someone at Fox, they would have done the same thing.

I haven't had Signal installed for a while, but if I remember correctly, if you want to lock the group so that only the admin, or admins, can add members to the group, it requires and extra step to set it up that way. It's not that way by default.
