I had mine done on a Friday in WI. I had a job interview the following Monday in OK. In case anyone is wondering, I would not recommend a 12 hour car ride immediately after getting a vasectomy.

I get that done in 4 weeks, I will not be jogging anywhere.  Then again, I don't jog anywhere anytime  ;D

I had a previous ball-related injury - 2 actually - one knee and one foam arrow. So my recovery was a little rocky after the snip. If you don't have any previous history of nut trauma other than the missus going to town, should be smooth sailing. The freezing hurts more on the table than the whole recovery process, felt like I pissed off a surly dominatrix. So take the Valium they offer you, lol

It's all worth it once you get the launch window go-ahead from Capcum Houston.

I have a delicate procedure like that in my future.

When I was in my late twenties, I was in a Tae Kwon Do tournament. I got kicked, very hard, right in the taint. It didn't hurt that bad when it happened, but it turned my entire frontal groin area black.

Now, every couple of decades, something happens and I start getting fluid build up and start swelling. I then truly have big balls. It has to be repaired, surgically.

I just always figured it was from the trauma of being kicked so hard.

Actually it is our friend much further north.

I resemble this statement!

Survived a widowmaker heart attack on Monday at work. Carry 81mg aspirin and don't walk (I didn't get to far) call 911.

Glad to hear Johnny is still kickin'!

Yes, by all means, call an ambulance for ANY medical emergency!

btw...years ago my older sis drove herself to the hospital when she was in labor with her 4th child and her husband was away driving truck.

I don't recommend that either, but fortunately it worked out ok for her.

Who can afford an ambulance these days?  The average cost for an ambulance ride in my area is around $1200 and I don't think my insurance would cover it until I met my $7000 deductible.

Uber anyone?  :D

Yea, a foam tipped arrow. I mean, it wasn't a compound bow, but still not a recommended experience.

Well, I ran with a tough crowd for awhile. We drank, smoked, womanized and played coed adult intramural sports. Mostly volleyball. Then someone had the bright idea that we should join an Archery Tag league to keep it fresh (think dodgeball, but 10 vs 10 with bow and arrow). Righty took a direct hit one night and swole up for a week. Dr said it was ok as long as it wasn't twisted, but it never came back down more than halfway ever since. Shy I guess.

hey! so one of our  Brothers just survived an actual heart attack! I think this deserves considerable well-wishes. Should be released from hospital now.
