That's a fair question. I think I have an answer; basically a phone that has Tik-Tok on it has become unsecured, perhaps even compromised. The majority of users this is a non-issue  for the exact reason you stated. FOr government employees, defense workers, people with access to sensitive sites, it's entirely something else.

I don't think I need to tell you that WiFi signals can paint a live 3D image of an area. Gain access to that information and that's a serious strategic advantage.
