I don't like the EO on ending birth right citizenship. The 14th amendment is clear, and I don't think there's a chance in hell it gets changed.

It's a good way to get the Supreme Court to look at it. If it stands it stands, if it gets overturned then it gets overturned.

I mean, if "..shall not be infringed.." needs interpreting, then the14th Amendment most definitely needs some of that interpretatin' stuff put on it...

I love it.
It's been abused from it's original intention for far too long.
Getting prego just to cross and give birth and live off our taxpayer money.
The potential of foreign gov'ts doing that intentionally for spying, etc...

I cannot convince my very liberal daughter that she doesn't have to worry about her sons, my grandsons, being deported. Their father is Filipino. At the time they were born he was here legally on a work visa, green card. A few years ago he became a US citizen. She is convinced that Trump will still deport them. I really don't know what to say anymore. Once she gets fired up there's no calming her fears. It is my understanding that this EO will only affect children born 30 days after the order was signed. Is this correct?

I'm pretty sure your grandkids are safer than mine from deportation. I am almost certain, left to their own devices, my grandkids would eat the cat.

I don't agree with pardons at all. I can get behind some on a very limited basis. I don't have any heart ache over pardoning a bunch of twits who decided to follow that initial crowd in to the Capitol and were just walking around looking stupid. This guy..  he's a waste of air.
