This morning I got a mass text from Spirit saying parking lot T is closed. I don't know what the letter designation of my parking lot is, so I didn't pay much attention.

When I got to work, the entrance I normally use was blocked. I drove about a mile south to the only other entrance to my area. The last 3rd was also blocked so I had to park in the grass.

Last night at about 11 a man attempted an unsuccessful home invasion on the other end town and fled. They had his license plate and were able to track him with traffic camaras. They caught up with him and began chasing him. He ended up in a Spirit parking lot. He got out with a rifle and began shooting at the cops. Needless to say, he didn't survive.

Curious when they don't release the identity of the person.
Historically that means they're not white males.

Well, the silly thing is, I drove onto the grass in my Mustang where security told me to park and got stuck turning in to a spot. A couple of buddies who come in early came out and gave me a hand. One of them offered to let me have his parking spot on the pavement and he would park on the grass. As we were walking to the turnstile, security started taking down the barrier and opening the lot back up.

It was well over when I got here.

I think I posted this before. A few years ago, I was in the drive through at Sonic, waiting my turn. An old pick up truck came zooming around the building and stopped a little way ahead of me. Behind him, a cop care with lights and sirens came zooming around and stopped right next to me. The two cops got out with their guns drawn, standing behind their open doors. They're ordering the driver to get out with his hands up. He has his hands sticking out of the window asking what he had done. Suddenly, he pulled his hands in and took off. He drove over a large curb separating the Sonic from a shopping center next door with the police behind him.
A later heard on the news that the found the stolen truck abandoned, with a gun inside. To my knowledge they never found him.
