I deeply crave understanding of the motives and overall goals. Purely financial? Literally just to wield power over as many people as possible? Is this planet an incubator of some sort? Wild, faith-based stuff (which one)? And yes, even the highest named evils that we know of are certainly patsies for the known unknowns.

even if he kills half the planet in the process.

Just look at The People's Republik of Kommieforniastan...  the democrats already have super-majority rule in the state. This means they do not need one single vote from the opposing party to pass ANY piece of legislation up to and including tax hikes... which requires a 2/3 majority to pass. All of that power and yet it's STILL not enough.  Democrats hold everynsingle executive position in state government and it's still not enough. They already take a significant portion of your earnings and it's still not enough. They already have one of the highest sales taxes in the nation and it's still not enough. They have the highest gasoline taxes in the US... and no, it is still not enough. Not by a long shot.

So, to sum it all up, absolute and infinite power is not enough for these people. They will not be satisfied EVER.
