not eligible here
didn't get the 1st 2nd or 3rd

Same here. My 2 young coworkers were talking about getting theirs yesterday. They know I didn't get one.  They told me "It's for the poor people." I replied "oh yeah, I heard my servants talking about that." They cracked up.

is it?  Or did we already pay for it and are just getting more of our money back?  It's all a matter of perspective and how you choose to look at it.

How else can you look at it? We(Americans) are getting a tiny percentage of the 1.9trillion. The rest is being shipped overseas.

Literally over $5trillion in the last three stimulus bills. We're spending money like a drunken soldier in a Hooters! And how much is of that is actually going to people who are struggling?

Trump was 100% right in requiring a stimulus bill with zero pork that benefited the ones needing it. Not for Senators pet projects.

Trump wanted a bill with ZERO pork but had his back against the wall.

But your blind hatred for him won't let you see that.

And FYI I don't like any of the stimulus packages. They should benefit Americans in need only.

Alright, upon explanation I can agree with you there.

Given the republican opposition to raising the minimum wage, I'm glad it was put in so it could actually pass.

If getting kicked in the nuts by people who didn't want to work themselves out of an entry-level job is a good time for you then by all means celebrate. The rest of us that actually put in the work to get ahead and know that the inflation that will reciprocate from it actually means a forced "wage drop", we'll just shake our heads.

You think the guy making $16/hr will see the same bump in pay the guy making $10/hr did? How about the ones making $30? Yet the cost of goods and services will continue to go up because someone's gotta pay for it.

I thought the $15/hr minimum wage was removed from the 1.9 Trillion stimulus package because of the senate rules?

That's what I thought I heard as well.

You two are apparently correct. I haven't been paying much attention lately.

It was removed in the Senate version of the bill, which is the version that eventually went through.

If anything, minimum wage should be loosely tied to cost of living in the employers area.  $15/hr goes a hell of a lot farther in Louisiana than it does in California.
