I mean, at this point, can we just call it a lie?

How is it that he can't get off of this b/s that there is a pump that is going to bring water in from the Pacific NW and beyond.

Quote"SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California water officials said this week there's no truth to President Donald Trump's assertion that the U.S. military has entered California and "turned on the water."

Quote"The United States Military just entered the Great State of California and, under Emergency Powers, TURNED ON THE WATER flowing abundantly from the Pacific Northwest, and beyond," the Republican president wrote. "The days of putting a Fake Environmental argument, over the PEOPLE, are OVER. Enjoy the water, California!!!"

"The federal government restarted federal water pumps after they were offline for maintenance for three days," the agency posted."

I figured it deserved it's own thread at this point.

Either he's just factually challenged, or can't admit that he was wrong about this.

Sharpiegate all over again.

After spending half of Sunday arguing with you about it, I feel invested in it at this point.  :harhar:

The moron on my facbook page that likes to give everyone medical advice is the one who posted the Trump tweet.

I'll try to keep my pie hole shut about the politics here, but it *does* remind me of some Swedes vs. Norwegians ("Sven & Ole") jokes that my wife likes to tell (her younger sister is married to a fellow whose father was Norwegian).

The Swede: "Now that man's been to the moon, we're going to put a man on the sun."
The Norwegian: "But that's impossible-he'll be burnt to a crisp!"
The Swede: "We're going to put him on at night."

Sure! As long as you admit you're a Democrat.
If you were half as vigilant about the left's lies the past 4 years I'd say you're a fence sitter. But nitpicking every word of every sentence that Trump says tells us you're not in the middle.

You don't find it odd that as soon as the federal gov't paid a visit the pumps started miraculously working?
Of course the Cali gov't is going to deny it had anything to do with Trump or give him any kind of credit.

The fucking pumps aren't pumping water from the pacific northwest. He's completely full of shit. lol.

Admit that it's impossible for a Trumpster to call him out for being full of shit.  All you guys do is say shit like.. oh, that's just trump being trump.  Yea, he's fucking liar.  lol.

By the way, was the military really involved in this?

Does it matter?

All I know is "there's no water!!!!"..........until Trump pays a visit. Then all of a sudden....water!

What matters, to me at least, is that the water he's talking about was already there. There is no new water flowing in to California from anywhere. He's bamboozling ignorant people in to thinking he solved a problem. He didn't. Literally nothing has changed.

I'd be less critical if he said the pumps were off for too long so they made them turn them back on. From what I'm reading, even that wouldn't be the truth but at least he wouldn't be trying to convince people that California now has free flowing water solving the California water crisis.

You honestly don't see how ridiculous that is?

We've (some of us on the forum) already had a conversation about how complicated the water rights are in California. I'd like to see him solve that problem and really make a difference. If he can do that, I'll be right there with you  :cheer:  :cheer:

edit: To be clear on this. When I say ignorant people, I was talking specifically about my friend on facebook who took Trump's statement literally and believed that there was water flowing from the PNW to California. I know he's not the only one who believes that bull shit. I asked him the same question I asked on here. What water is he talking about and how it is getting there.  His response - gravity.   That's the guy people are taking medical advise from.

1. Northern Cali is considered to be part of the Pacific NW. Some of the largest water reservoirs in Cali are in the northern mountain ranges.

2. The army core of Engineers was deployed to Cali.

3. According to your article water pumps were "down for maintenance".

4. As per your AP article, how many times has the AP ran complete false articles supporting the left and TDS.

Did Trump outright lie? Did he embellish the truth? Was he misinformed about who did what and when? Is he taking credit for others actions that would have happened if he was not involved? I could write you an article that makes a convincing case for each of those questions.

Oh come on man. That's not what he's talking about.

In past comments, he was talking about Canada as well.  He's talking about water from outside of California.

This deserves a "pants on fire" rating as far as I'm concerned. In this case, TDS is reserved for those who can't admit it.

When people talk about the Pacific Northwest, they are generally talking about Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia. When we were taught about the Pacific Northwest in High School, that is how it was defined.

I've never heard anyone refer to Northern California as part of the Pacific Northwest. You might be able to convince me that Trump just doesn't know that but you would have to explain his "bring water in from Canada" comments.

Regardless, No problem has been solved.
