Stop talking to him.

That's like telling me to stop talking to Incog.  :D

I used to be good friends with this guys brother. I've known him since I was 15ish years old. I still consider him a friend... I just think he's a little nuts.  :D

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Trump is focusing on bringing more water into Cali and stopping future wildfires.
Neuro is focusing on wording.

Trump could invent light speed travel or cure all forms of cancer tomorrow and you'd still try to find a word or sentence that he "lied" about instead of looking at the good he's doing or is trying to do for the American people.

Where was all of this vitriol the past 4 years of LIES? How many times did you call out Biden or Kamalalala or the media for their blatant, outright lies?

.

I called out Biden for being a liar recently. In the last few weeks. You just have Blinders on. The Trumpter version of TDS. You only focus on things I say negative about Trump.

Sorry for focusing on things he said that aren't true.

That's all you guys did for the last four years is call Biden and Kamala liars. It's Ok when they lie, but not when Trump lies?

Quote from: neurosis on January 29, 2025, 04:22 AMWhen people talk about the Pacific Northwest, they are generally talking about Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia. When we were taught about the Pacific Northwest in High School, that is how it was defined.

QuoteThe Pacific Northwest (PNW; French: Nord-Ouest Pacifique), sometimes referred to as Cascadia, is a geographic region in Western North America bounded by its coastal waters of the Pacific Ocean to the west and, loosely, by the Rocky Mountains to the east. Though no official boundary exists, the most common conception includes the U.S. states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and the Canadian province of British Columbia. Some broader conceptions reach north into Alaska and Yukon, south into Northern California, and east into western Montana. Other conceptions may be limited to the coastal areas west of the Cascade and Coast mountains.

So Trump needs to be exact is his words per your meaning of those words, but you get to say generally Cali is not considered PNW.

Oh!
I must have somehow missed that. It must have gotten lost in your 4 years of daily Trump rants.
But good for you for calling him out....once.

Wait a minute here. I thought that wikipedia is liberal propaganda.

Look up each of the reservoirs in Northern California and tell me which one could be considered to be in the Pacific Northwest.

Then explain to me what part of Canada is in Northern California.

It can be.
But the fact that it can be edited by just about anyone makes it unreliable.

I'm just giving him a hard time because if I posted a wikipedia link you guys would be all over me.

Since I was 10, I lived in Idaho and Washington State. All through school we were taught that the PNW is 3 US States, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, and part of British Columbia. If people consider anything in Cali to be part of the PNW, it would have to be the coastal region of Northern California.

There are also people who only consider the Coastal region of Washington and Oregon to be the Pacific Northwest but uh, to paraphrase YoDougs quote, not generally.

I honestly don't care how the PNW is defined and by who. I care more about results and when Trump exaggerates he usually gets results.

As a friend I am concerned that you seem to be ramping up in TDS. I just don't want to see you end up in a liberal concentration camp with Kathy Griffin and Rosie O'Donnell.  ;)

The only times I've been out West were to Vegas and Salt Lake City.
Here in Michigan I would imagine that most people here refer to the PNW as B.C., Oregon, Washington, and MAYBE the Northern part of Cali.
Myself, I don't think I've ever seen Cali as a part of that mainly because when I think of Cali, I only think of the Southern region. Which is probably the same for most people who live East of the Mississippi I would imagine. Or for people who have never been there.

It's kinda like the Gulf of America and Mount McKinley.

Trump now says the PNW includes northern California, and parts of Texas.

Glad I was able to help, you're welcome.

JFC I lived in Northern California for close to four fucking decades. When I would visit Portland, Seattle, hell, even the Oregon and Washington coasts, I would be visiting the Pacific Northwest.

NorCal is NOT the Pacific Northwest.

Is Michigan the east Coast? Same time zone.

And no, Trump did not turn on some magic spigot that miraculously remedied California's decades-old drought.

It's pathetic what some here will do to give their cult leader a reach around.

Mmmmm....what Trump is doing and saying is front page news on just about every news paper in the U.S. right now. :headscratch:

How about this....tell me you don't know what rent free means without telling me you don't know what rent free means.

How is it that he can't get off of this b/s that there is a pump that is going to bring water in from the Pacific NW and beyond.

"The federal government restarted federal water pumps after they were offline for maintenance for three days," the agency posted."

Isn't the corps of engineers considered military?

https://www.politico.com/news/2025/01/28/trump-said-military-turned-on-the-water-in-california-not-quite-00200907

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a Tuesday briefing that the Army Corps of Engineers — a branch of the Defense Department that specializes in dams and other engineering work — had been in California responding to the fires, although she didn't specify whether they had gone further north to Reclamation's facility.

"The Army Corps of Engineers has been on the ground in California to respond to the devastation from these wildfires," she said. "And I would point out that just days after President Trump visited, the devastation from these fires, the water was turned on. That is because of the pressure campaign he put on state and local officials there who clearly lack all common sense."

Representatives for California Gov. Gavin Newsom didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
