This is the official USGS map of the PNW - Pacific Northwest.

I've lived here since I was 10 years old and this is what they taught us in school.

I also have friends that live in Northern California. They don't say that they're from the Pacific Northwest.

I wasn't being critical. I was just joking.

This thread is 9 pages long already and has resorted to mostly trolling at this point.  I would have been more surprised if you had read through it. I feel like some people feel like they've lost some time they'll never get back.   lol

I don't know if you're talking about me, but that literally has nothing to do with my argument.  lol  I've never once said that there aren't pumps in Northern California.  In fact, we've already discussed those pumps and other water sources inside of California in other threads.

I think you need to have a get together with Maga Granny too.  You're starting to make incog arguments.  Oh wait, you two are the gish gallup twins. I forgot.

Well I googled "what is considered the Pacific Northwest" and 9 out of 10 answers say Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Northern California, Western Montana, Alaska, Yukon, and BC. So it's like the Midwest, it depends on people's view of what the PNW constitutes. IMO it's the states with old growth trees, mountains, rain, and mostly cooler weather. Which would INCLUDE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

Lets concede that Northern Cali is part of the Pacific Northwest.

So the Pacific Northwest extends from Northern California, to the Canadian border?

Here is a reminder of his comment. Explain to me what he meant by "and beyond".

And if he's not talking about water from anywhere but Northern California, why the fuck doesn't he just say "from Northern California"?  lol

Like I said, I've lived here since I was 10. I don't know anyone who considers any part of California to be part of the pacific northwest. Keep in mind that I learned this in School back in the 80's. Maybe people's idea of what the PNW is has changed since then? That was 40 years ago.

I posted a map of the Pacific Northwest watershed earlier and it also doesn't include Northern California. This isn't peoples perception of what the Pacific Northwest it, It's an official map of the Pacific Northwest.

I've tried to say throughout these conversations that I would believe that Trump just doesn't know what he's talking about. This all started from his campaign speeches and his interview on Fox news when he said he could turn a faucet and pump water from the Pacific Northwest and Canada. There is no way to get water in to Southern California from anywhere North of California. That's been my argument.

Then as you know, these conversations just devolve in to nonsense.

RAIN!! Rain come from everywhere in the form of water vapor (you may know it by clouds), it gets too heavy in the atmosphere and falls to the ground in the form of rain.

Oh, and this

I would be surprised if a fraction of the people in the flyover States had any idea what the Pacific Northwest is or even give a shit. They know it as commieland.  Portland and Seattle.  Nothing else.

When I was younger, Nobody in Washington State or Oregon wanted to be in any way associated with California. Man how times have changed.

I'm surprised he doesn't have a map of the real Pacific Northwest with a sharpie circle extending it in to Northern California.
TBF... the western side of Oregoon and the western side of Washintoon is basically Northern California in every way, shape and form up to and including it's politics. Anyone that doesn't lick windows and other unmentionable things for pleasure knows this. It's easy to miss the distinction though....
