Lear Jet 55s haven't been made since 1993. I wonder if the planes age contributed?

It was taking off and less than 2000ft altitude, could potentially be a bird strike.

Possibly fixed enough to go to a hospital closer to home to finish recovery? Perhaps she was not going to survive much longer and going home to be with family?
