I forgot, you have your biased glasses on.

"It represents Trump's latest attempt to consolidate power beyond boundaries"

I feel like it's way to early for these conversations.   I've barely had any coffee.

He previously served as legislative director to a member of the Senate of Virginia and as policy director for a statewide campaign, and consulted on research and policy development for a number of candidates and elected officials. "

Wow.
That's an impressive number of words to describe a DNC shill.   :harhar:

Anyhoo,
I saw some of the Trump and Musk interview on Hannity last night.

I personally find Musk to be a bit socially awkward, as many very bright people tend to be, but I also found him to be sincere in what he is trying to help the President do.

Are they moving too aggressively?
Maybe.
But it has only been a month since Trump took office, and I am 100% sure NOBODY was talking about USAID before DOGE started looking into it.

USAID was first because it was obviously low-hanging fruit.
Stay tuned.

This is the kind of change the majority of the people voted for in November, and Trump's enemies are now throwing temper tantrums because he is actually doing it.

That isn't spin. That you think it is shows that you're either not paying attention to what's going on in the Country right now, or as you said before, don't care.

I listened to an interview a couple of weeks ago that Breaking Points did with Ro Khanna, who said that he's worked directly with Musk several times over the years. He said that he believes that Musk is sincere in what he's doing but also that he has no idea what the consequences may be and doesn't have to care.

My biggest complaint about Musk, is that if he is so sincere in what he's doing, why mislead us? Is it unintentional? If I remember right, he did admit to being wrong about the condoms to Hamas?

USAID was first because they thought they were untouchable and kept spending money after Trump told everyone to stop. Easy pickins.

There are always going to be rumors and false reports of outrageous spending items.

The point is, they are identifying outrageous spending.

But some people would rather focus on the few small things Musk may have gotten wrong rather than look at the big picture, that there is, and always has been, outrageous spending that needs to stop if we are to ever become even a little bit fiscally responsible as a nation.

Honestly, it sounds cliche', but they are focused on killing the messenger rather than listening to the message.

I think this sums up the hypocrisy of the TDS/EDS sufferers in a nutshell:

It's not that Musk (or anyone else) is looking for or finding wasteful spending. It's how they are going about it. You guys make it sound like looking for wasteful spending is the problem.

This deserves two Jeff BRAWK! BRAWK!  :D

How are they going about it?

Do you think they should just send a memo to all of these agencies and departments asking them to do an internal audit on a Hello Kitty notepad and report their findings at their own leisure?

Have you ever been through an ISO, IRS, or OSHA audit? They come in, bust open the books and pry everything they can out of anything they can find.

Quote from: Jeff on February 19, 2025, 04:06 AMrofl yeah those are certainly credible "journalist" companies eh?

Just like clockwork, one of the forum's most prolific deep thinkers parrots chimes in with his pre-programmed FAKE NEWS! retort when presented with evidence provided by sources who hire degreed, trained journalists, maintain ethics guidelines and follow the AP Stylebook when it comes to reporting.

I've been saying it for a while but it holds true even more today: The biggest threat to the US is misinformation, and those who are too mentally feeble to recognize it. Unfortunately it applies to the majority of this forum and a significant potion of the population.

You really should have watched the video I linked in that post before trying to sound smart.

Hint: it didn't work out for ya.
