Good for them. They have shown the courage of their convictions.

No surprise here.

DOGE Claims It Has Saved Billions. See Where.

Excerpt:
QuoteWhere.
A WSJ analysis of government data found that many claims of savings were overstated and 'woke' cuts were only a tiny fraction of the total

The Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency touts cuts of $55 billion in federal spending, often citing canceled DEI and climate contracts. However, a Wall Street Journal analysis of government contract data showed a much different picture: "Woke" cuts were a tiny fraction of the total, and many claims of savings were overstated.

They don't have the stones for the real world we live in. They belong somewhere there are safe spaces.

I was more or less joking. Not about the potential for them to be harassed. Just the play on your comment.  I wasn't suggesting that you would, but there is no doubt in my mind that they would get harassed if their names got out.

QuoteOr they don't want to be seen publicly for the cowards they are.

Coward, conscience, they seem to have the same meaning to todays conservatives.  8)

We declare we're doing such and such because..., signed Anonymous = Coward

We declare we are doing such and such becaue..., signed (insert ACTUAL names here) = Conscience

Those are two very different things.

BE about it if you're going to make an issue about something, otherwise you're just some no-named coward refusing to get into the arena.

Isn't it odd that there's an article about 21 people out of 2.3 million quitting their job?

People quit their job every day. But somehow this is newsworthy AND somehow a person knew about all 21 quitting for the same reason?

Not buying it.

No, it's not. Not everyone working for the Federal Government works in Tech (or at least not areas of tech that would be useful to Doge) nor were they asked/interviewed to help "modernize Federal technology and software".

This is so crazy it just might work!
And apparently other countries do this as well.

Jeff

Maybe those 21 quitters couldn't come up with 5 things they did over the last week?

Essentially, their boss asked them to name 5 things they did the previous week. And the left is losing their shit over it.
Calling it "intimidation and harassment"

We already have an EB-5 visa that requires a $1 million investment on a company that employs at least 10 people. I believe they have to be approved by Congress and don't allow for citizenship?

From what I understand so far, Trumps gold card wouldn't require approval by Congress and has no requirement to create jobs (and no limit?)? I'm not 100% sure that's accurate, but what I've read so far. Any idea if this is true?

My biggest concern with this would be allowing even more foreign investors to grab any available property making it even more difficult for US citizens to own their own homes. It's already happening so

No idea, I saw the video about 15 minutes ago and it's the first I've heard of anything like this.

I found a little more information that helps with context -

The "The United States Digital Service" had 230 people working there in 2024. It was renamed to Doge and apparently reduced to 65 employees when Doge took over. Tuesday, 21 of the remaining 65 employees resigned.

I had no idea how many people were left.

Maybe knew they were about to be fired?
So they stomped their feet, took their ball and went home. And along they way they contacted the press so they can throw dirt at D.O.G.E. and Elon.

Drain that swamp baby!

So 32% left...

Good. That means a more dedicated staff to accomplish the task at hand. The job wasn't for them.

Cutting government waste and inefficiency is serious business. It's not for everyone. Just like being a CNC Programmer. Contrary to what our mommas told us, no, you cannot be anything you want to be. Oh, yiu want to be a SEAL but can't swim and don't want to learn? Oh, you want to be an Astronaut but aren't good a math, science, don't know how to fly and don't speak at least one other foreign language?

Not every job is for every individual..now they are free to pursue the career they were created for.

Chips act assumed dead. I was asking the other day if it was making a difference?

Anyone in the market for a new PC or video card?

https://www.techspot.com/news/106925-chips-act-likely-fizzle-out-wake-federal-employee.html

QuoteTrump's primary focus is on enforcing tariffs to promote domestic semiconductor manufacturing, with a new 25 percent levy on imported semiconductor products expected soon. However, SA argues that this approach is deeply flawed. "We don't think that the administration has fully thought through all the ramifications as 100 percent of AI chips are imported from Taiwan," SA said.

100 perceent of AMD chips and the vast majority of memory chips also come from overseas. Overall, more than 80 percent of chips sold in the US are foreign-made.

QuoteTariffs could raise the price of smartphones and laptops, hurting demand for chips and potentially triggering a "recession in the semiconductor industry", Hutcheson said.

Not with the new Nvidia pricing and how shitty they are performing!
AND
The cables melting....again!

AMD comes out with their new releases in 2 days. They have a chance to gain a lot of new customers if they price them right in wake of the recent Nvidia debacle.
