Trump's intention is to crash the world economy into a deep recession.

I didn't do any selling (I read the Art of the Deal). A classic "I won't budge" negotiating ploy, until....Trump gets what he wants.

I applaud President Trump. The time of sitting on our hands doing little while 'mourning' our young population's overdose deaths are coming to an END! Get that border really secure! Alas, that goal is achievable now because Mexico is in our corner. They will do EVERYTHING to avoid Trump's tariff threat.

(Now we wait for Canada to buckle and give in to our demands. Reports saying yes, a significant (much lower that the southern border but still unacceptable) amount of Chinese made fentanyl is crossing our northern border. So, Trudeau and Canada will need to ramp up their border security efforts and....they will or risk a recession.

Trump is no expert on the impact of tariffs. No one really is. His expertise is using a powerful deterrent (tariffs) to get things done that need to get done. Like saving lives....
