One of the MANY problems with that is obvious.
Whoever gets to decide what a 'hate crime' is can be as subjective as they like.
It violates the equal protection clause on its face, yet we see politicians still lobbying for hate crimes legislation.  :no: 

I think I can understand what Trump is getting at here in principle, but I don't agree with his approach.  :no:
