A coworker that I considered a friend and mentor passed away. I first met him when I hired in to Spirit. He was a lead engineer and the guy who knew the most about AFP. We shared a cubical, until he got promoted into management. He was my manager until he got promoted again.

I remember when a Navajo Windtalker gave a talk at my church and he brought his two boys to see him. They should be well out of college now.

He was an avid runner and competed in marathons often. He helped me tremendously.

His health took a turn when he broke his femur. Turns out, kidney cancer had spread to his bones. I didn't know it at the time. I did know that he aged dramatically in a short period of time, even though he was younger than me.

Like I said, he was a good guy and did a lot of good in his work life and his home life.

If you think about it, raise a toast to Brad and wish him godspeed.

Here's Johnny!

Condolences on the loss of your friend.

None of us are leaving this planet alive, hug em if you still have them (friends, family, pets etc). I had a widow maker heart attack 3.5 weeks ago, luckily I am getting a second chance at living. I turn 58 in about a month.

Sorry for your loss Mike.

My wife's friend just passed away from cancer. Went to the doctors and they told her 5-6 months. Went into Boston for a second opinion and the said more like 3 months. 3 or 4 days later she was gone.

Cancer sucks.
