I understand that Larry. I'm on their side, but even the Indians knew they couldn't win and stopped fighting before they were completely wiped out from existence. I'd like to see the war ended. I believe that America and Europe will not let Russia take the entire country.

But history shows that when he 'annexed' Georgia near the end of GW Bush's watch, then 'annexed' Crimea, which happened on Obama's watch, he essentially got away with it both times.

Then when Biden made possibly THEE MOST idiotic statement about a 'minor incursion', he practically gave Putin the green light for more 'annexation'.

These prior events didn't take place in a vacuum, and Trump wasn't even involved in politics back then.
But now that he is the sitting POTUS he realizes it is in EVERYONE'S best interest if this war is ended.

So we can play the blame game all day, but I go back to my original point that at least Trump is TRYING to get both sides to sit down and have a discussion.

He doesn't have a very good opinion of the US in all of this.
