Once the members of Parliament kick Zelensky to the curb, they'll be able to accomplish something.

Isn't it true that he's held off the election process?  I guess he knows what the people want  ::)

We've never delayed elections to my knowledge.

He doesn't have a very good opinion of the US in all of this.

Let's be honest, the CIA has started many proxy wars in the past, hell we used Sadam to fight Iran and then threw him
to the wolves...for the Bush crime family and Ukraine was used by the Biden crime family..

That country is just rubble now. Not sure where they could vote and millions have fled.

Biting the had that feeds you is a bad look. Of course, Trump's foreign policy did NOT include blank checks to Ukraine unlike the incontinent one before him, that much I can guarantee.

So we have Schumer meeting with Zelensky before the oval office meeting. He and others including Blinken, Victoria Nuland, Susan Rice and Alexander Vindman advised him not to take the peace deal.

Isn't that the textbook definition of interfering in foreign affairs?

Please. Lindsey Graham will do whatever Trump tells him to do. Along with all the other Repugs.

Just last year there was bipartisan support for Ukraine. This year, nothing from the right.

What's changed?

There is a side by side vid of Rubio, one side pledging his unwavering support for Ukraine, the other I can only assume is Rubio with Trumps hand up his ass working his mouth like a puppet, sounding a lot like Jeff in this thread.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Senator Chris Murphy said so.
I posted this a few pages back:

QuoteBefore meeting President Trump, Zelensky met with anti-Trump Democrats who advised him to reject the terms of the mineral deal that the president was offering, according to Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.).

"Just finished a meeting with President Zelensky here in Washington. He confirmed that the Ukrainian people will not support a fake peace agreement where Putin gets everything he wants and there are no security arrangements for Ukraine," Murphy's office posted on X at 11:15 a.m. Friday.

He attached a picture of Zelensky at a conference table, with Murphy seated on the opposite side.

Jim, not to be argumentative...but that is not what was said...it's noted that "they will not accept" but nowhere does it say that he was told to not take the deal...

That is what Jeff is claiming and there, at least not that I have seen, ANY supporting information for that...all we do know is the deal blew out....

Everything else is being claimed is just hot air...

Maybe it did, maybe it didn't but we don;t "know"

What changed? A year ago, Ukraine was making a counter-offensive into regions of Russia, that looked like it would give them leverage in the negotiations. that has since failed. That is one thing that has changed.

The second thing that has changed is they are no longer just needing military aid, they are running low on soldiers. So the next logical step is that to keep fighting they are going to have to involve soldiers from other countries.

the third thing that changed is that one of the presidential candidates ran his campaign on the premise that he will end this war, the other candidate did not run on that, she ran her campaign on supporting Ukraine to keep fighting. She lost.
