Quote from: YoDoug on February 14, 2025, 07:36 AMTesla Megapack alone will grow the company enough over the next decade that Musk will be worth a trillion dollars in 10 years. Add in the robots and the cars will be the smallest division of Tesla.

The Tesla Megapack is a huge transformation for power grids. No more brown outs when you can have stored energy available. Likewise recovering and saving all the lost power in current systems will allow for demand growth with smaller additions to power production.

I would still be a Tesla fanboi if not for the humanoid robot boondoggle.

I think Musk is off by about 10-15 years in his optimistic takeover of the robots. Currently he is touting $20K-30K cost. He always under projects costs while things are early in dev. They are slow AF and it will be a long time before they can move and problem solve as fluidly and efficiently as a human. They will not be the mass takeover for humans until the cost/productivity can be realistically outpace humans.

He's been selling autonomous idea for a decade and we are nowhere near adoption, but there are some marvelous capabilities. If not him we would never see any progress.
So far it takes far more input to direct output of a robot so there is zero capability multiplier. Hope that changes
