We've lost quite a few people over the last few years. It's weird that they were willing to tolerate the political back and forth on the other forum but here, it's become less tolerable?

People used to have thicker skin and most would debate. 

Now they just 🤪 you and don't offer any contrary solutions. It's the way of the left.

I think it's less a reflection of the "people" and more of a reflection of how polarized and disconnected society has generally become.

The original mission of eMC (which pretty much brought us all here together) was a great mission. CAD/CAM users helping other CAD/CAM users. It morphed. The leadership group refused to heed several key warnings that things were going to become a problem. And what happened happened.

Then this place was born out of a desire to remain connected to some that had moved on for one reason or another.

I left eMC for years because the leadership group was trash. They penalized or punished productive members and let the dead weight do whatever they wanted. I only went back at the request of my boss. It's a medium many of our customers prefer rather than phone, e-mail or other traditional support methods. I have customers that only use IG for support. It's hard but I make it work as best I can.

I left eMC. If people want me gone from here, I'm fine with it. You can put it up to a vote. It would not hurt my feelings in the least if I got the boot.

I don't want to see anyone leave and that really isn't the point I'm trying to make.

It seems as though the larger crowd can literally say what ever the fuck they want to and they get a free pass, but then if someone gives an opinion the the majority doesn't like, then the forum has become too intolerable to deal with anymore.

I'm open to every opinion, even opinions that I think might be a little crazy. I don't think that you should have to censor what you say at all, but I also don't want to have to censor myself because my opinion is unpopular here. While I'd rather see people be respectful to each other and not resort to name calling over a silly disagreement, I wouldn't expect anyone to sit there and tolerate it.
