I've started back playing some more after a long absence. I bought me a Taylor albeit a low end one but it has great sound and still list for $900. Any of you guys play

I've got a Taylor 814ce. I like it. but I get a lot of flack about playing a Taylor with my bluegrass friends. I've taken up the mandolin in the last year. I've started mixing in the mandolin in church some, and the people have really enjoyed it so far.

it's better than my talent level, for sure. One of the funnest things that I do with it, is I play in a 4 man group that is mostly a comedy group, a combination of parody songs and skits. We have a blast writing and performing that stuff.

I have a

Martin 000-15M
2013 Gibson SGJ that I completely tore down and rebuilt
unknown year Gibson SG
Epiphone SG, Inverness Green with P90 pickups
Epiphone 59 Les Paul reissue (love it)
Sire Larry Carlton H7
Fender Vintera Telecaster
PRS Bass
Ibanez SR500PB Bass
Cort Bass

My hands are getting kind of gnarly which makes it tough to play.

I like playing songs from the 60's and 70's. Jim Croce, Cat Steven's, Gordon Lightfoot.

I do to. I used to have a D15m and was intending to replace it, but I like the 000-15. It needs some work because it has sat so long without being played.

That sounds fun! I love comedy tunes, every since I was little. Do you have stuff recorded at all?

As for the instruments I have..
I play bass mostly, but have been brushing up on guitar:
'05 Epiphone Thunderbird IV Bass
'00-ish Fender Jazz Bass, fretless
Fernandes 4 String Bass. Bought it 2nd hand for like 60 bucks, nicest fretted bass I have
Yamaha 4 string fretless

'05 BC Rich Virgo Special Ed
New Fender CD-60 Full Mahogany

I always wanted an acoustic guitar to be the campfire guy, or just have song time with the family. My father-in law started playing again recently, I made him a wall hanger out of a live edge slab for his '87 Les Paul to display it, and he's picking it up again. Might have some family jams soon. I really miss playing with the boys, I had quite a run in/after high school of some wicked blues and punk bands. Then a group in my late 20s we jammed with at parties. There's nothing like getting into a groove with people you know how to play with!

Del.

I can't play worth a crap stoned. 😝

I've been playing bass in bands for close to 40 years, and have enough friends/bandmates who died way too young to prove it. My main bass is what the kids today call a Fender Duff McKagan model, which pisses me off because I've been playing my ivory white with black neck PJ bass since before it was called that, and I aint getting any royalties.
