Mine was a 1970 Chevy Kingswood station wagon.  My friends mom gave it to me because the frame had rusted to the point the support for the transmission was hanging.  Got it home and with some pieces of angle and bolts, I got it together and drove it a couple years until the next beater with a heater came along...

72 Chevelle. Bought it when I was 16. Had a 327 in it. Fairly quick for a car that heavy. Would do high 13's quarter mile. Body was fair and it was in primer the whole time I owned it because I was always working on the body and saving up for paint. I also had the engine out, trans out, and rear end out for swap. That was when you could afford to work on a car as a teenager. I think I knew every inch of that car inside  and out after 2 years of working on it all the time. I ended up selling it before I got it painted. Had lots of fun in that car. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it.

My first car was a 1971 Volkswagen Beetle in light blue.

My army buds and I traveled up and down the east coast, from Georgia to New York, in that little car. Thinking about it brings back a lot of good memories. :)

Following that I bought a 1959 Beetle, and after that blew a rod, I bought a 1971 Volkswagen Bus. We had a lot of fun in that van too, driving all around the Midwest.

I got nostalgic about 10 years after I moved on from Volkswagens and did a test drive in another Beetle. I could barely fit into it, so I knew my VW days were over.
