Most people will easily believe big pharma is corrupt and puts profits over health. They will believe many other industries are the same as well. However, when it comes to meat industries, they must have rose colored glasses. They just want to picture every burger started as happy cattle out in a field grazing and cholesterol is good. The truth is, there is a campaign of hundreds of millions of dollars to misinform people to keep them eating meat even though the truth is well known. Article below.

It really makes me wonder, do you guys get your glasses at the same place Smit does? Do you have to order the specific truths you want rose colored? Can you order dual or triple purpose lenses if you want to ignore all kinds of truths.

Vegans are worse than ex smokers and Cross-Fit guys... combined.

I know where my beef and poultry and eggs come from. A farm a few towns over and they graze in the surrounding hills... so there's that.

Vegans are all about not harming animals. Ironically farming for vegans requires the chemical eradication of every creature as far as the eye can see.
I'm the most natural form of vegan, offloading the chewing to delicious 5 stomach cows.
Gotta love the smell of burning flesh on the barbecue

I'd imagine that the only people that need those glasses are the ones that grow up in big cities and never leave.

I grew up surrounded by farms.
My niece and her husband are farmers. I've had beef so fresh it would make a vegan cry.

Most thing are true about 'most' people. :coffee:

The majority of the protein I have consumed in my life I either knew by name, or walked back to the woods and shot it.

If I have to farm out that process, there is a small local butcher that raises animals on site, in full public view. His prices are higher than Walmart, but lower than most higher end supermarkets.

The only downside is the convivence factor. Fresh, unfrozen meat is only sold on Saturday from 7-12. And if you want something specific, you better be there at 7.

The truth is in the fine details. I talked about both happy cattle grazing in a field AND the health consequences of eating meat. Every single post here has been humble bragging about who get the freshest beef, not a mention of the health effects, or even a single cholesterol denier spouting carnie misinfo. I guess you all just answered what kind of rose colored lenses you have.

All cause mortality goes down to certain point of increasing cholesterol in a population study's graph. That point is far higher than the quacks in the medical profession espouse.

Those big words sound good. Let's see the studies. See the Meta-reviews that back up the data. Epidemiology, mechanistic, Cohorts, etc. It should all point to that conclusion then, right?

.my question is does all that fancy talk disprove the study that shows lower all cause mortality

There are two different types of meat . You have the factory type and the organic type. The factory type is just interested in getting the animals as large as they can and as fast as they can. This type gets chemicals that will create what they are looking for. The organic type is grown as nature intended. Cattle will mainly eat pasture grass, pigs will mainly dig for their food, chickens will eat bugs.

Right now the factory animals are making children taller and larger due to the growth hormones the animals are given.
