Don't you already have TopSolid for your lathes?

We do, but we dropped maintenance several years back due to some disagreements over post prices. We hired a lathe programmer who had Mastercam experience so added the Mastercam lathe module.  Mastercam lathe, and this is just my opinion, sucks donkey balls compared to TopSolid. I'd go as far as to say I like the milling side of TS better as well but we never got a chance to try their dynamic module (whatever the TS version is called) so that wasn't an option at the time either.

I have been doing a bunch of programming lately for our Multus U3000 with lower turret and our 3 turret Okuma lathe. I couldn't even imagine having to do it with Mcam mill turn. I would probably hate my job knowing how good TopSolid is at complex machines.

It would help if it were closer to the mill side of the software. It feels like it was added as an afterthought and then never fully finished. The tool manager is awful.

I don't want to bash on it too much, but it feels lacking. And not just a little.

We have an Okuma VTM-1200 and a Mori Seiki NT6600. Mastercam MillTurn is not available for either machine.
I program them with regular Mastercam and Postability posts.
We get good code, maybe 99.5% edit free, but it was a ton of work getting there and it's a ton of work to program.
The main problem is, if you don't do it every day, you forget all the misc. integer settings and work arounds required
to get good code.

I could not make Esprit do a single fuckin thing without taking a class. It is the single most unintuitive piece of software ever created.
