That's hilarious. Sounds like me when I was a kid and my dad would ask me why I did something and I'd say. Just cause.

I doubt many people here will remember Sam Brownback. He was a Senator from Kansas back in the tea party days. He seemed to be on his way up. He desperately wanted to be president. He got himself elected governor and immediately started implementing some of the tax policies and other issues favored at the time by the tea party movement. It might have worked if "the Kansas experiment" had been implemented in a considered, thoughtful way but, instead, he just started slashing taxes. By the end of his second term the Kansas legislature reversed virtually all of the policies he implemented.

I am convinced he thought that "the Kansas experiment" would be a huge success, and Kansas would become a shining example for the rest of the country, and he could happily hopscotch his way into the white house.

Instead, he illustrated what happens when a leader implements what could be good ideas in a haphazard and random way. It wasn't pretty.

Our current political climate brings a lot of feelings of deja vu.

Quote from: Del. on April 03, 2025, 02:49 PMThen why isn't he talking about it now?  He's President and I doubt he is afraid of any negative feedback. He's doing exactly what he said he would do during campaign.

It's irrelevant now and what does he have to gain from it?

His supporters obviously approve of everything he's doing.  It's not project 2025 anymore. It's Trumps agenda.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I've been clear on my position with Trump. When have I not?

You labeled me a fence sitter. You labeled me a fence sitter because I don't buy in to every right wing talking point.

I didn't label you.

I made a point and it stuck. with several people.

You posted a humpy dog. Didn't stick.

Bucky tried a drunk . Didn't stick.

If you are so offended for being a fence sitter or indecisive I apologize.

I can only respond to what I can evaluate.

I am in no means trying to make you feel as I don't respect your opinion.

If I have offended you . I apologize. :)

I May be a Trumptard , or Trumpster. Whatever.

But I don't have the right to be Abusive.

And did not intend to.

Yea, your point was that I criticize Trump but you couldn't criticize me for being a Biden supporter because I wasn't.  Your only recourse was to start calling me a fence sitter.  What ever helps you sleep at night.  :D
