DEI

DEPORT
EVERY
ILLEGAL

He's doing what most of the country voted him into office to do.

I don't get why all of a sudden you people defend these criminals.
Oh wait, yes I do, because your media hates Trump and the only news feed you consume is that which will never, ever say he's doing something good for the country.

Who is "you people" and what is "my media"?  I listen to mostly right wing media with a mix of people like Glenn Greenwald.  Even the right wing media I listen to thinks that this is wrong.  And yes, I admit that I don't take in media that kneels at the feet of the The Mango Mussolini

I hadn't heard that one. I like it!

You people that have a rabid dislike for everything that Trump does. Just because it's Trump.
Pretty much anyone not a Republican.
It's comical really. Trump's doing the things that so many Democrats have talked about doing and they got standing ovations, but since it's Trump.... it must be bad.

The fucking hypocrisy has hit new levels.

It's comical that you think that.  Nobody has talked about doing what Trump is doing now.

HUH?
This thread, that you started, is about the ILLEGAL that Trump deported.

I'm not talking about the deporting part.

Just as a BTW, I've posted on here before that one of the people I listen to is Saagar Enjeti. He voted for Trump and defends Trumps stance on most things.  He doesn't on this. So not everyone who supports Trump, supports this.

Again, it was broken the moment they enter the country illegally...they are not innocent.

We arrest them, send them back, what their country of origin does with them is not my concern.

I don't know when we decided that as a country we're not going to do anything about illegal immigration. By & large, until now, for the better of the last 3 decades we did little to nothing about it.

I would support a 100% stop on immigration with 24-36 months until this crap is all figured out.

That VAST majority of people who emigrated here legally are even against the illegal crap that's been allowed to stand.

On arresting and deporting them, I am in 100% support of the policy

The rewards for breaking the law as your first act in this country are ova'

Unlike Mastercam though  ;)

I agree, but; In this case, we paid their Country to put them in prison. Like I said earlier, this wasn't the US deporting a guy and then them making the decision to stick him in there. Trump is paying El Salvador $6 million to hold migrants in that prison.

I 100% agree with this. That would mean that Trump would have to stop selling his $5 million gold cards, so I don't see that happening any time soon.

Even the Trump administration acknowledges Garcia was sent there because of an administrative error. It's kind of mind boggling to believe they didn't retrieve him because it was the right thing to do. This shouldn't even be more than a blip on the news.

Then a judge told them to bring him back. They stone wall and send it up to the supreme court. The supreme court tells them to facilitate the return of Garcia. Trump people use legal sleeze to explain why they can't do that.

Garcia is just a bit figure in this story. The Trump administration feels they don't have to abide by the rule of law is the big picture. They are intentionally ignoring the judicial branch and trying to set precedent for who knows what the fuck in the future.

Putting on my tin foil hat -

The whole reason for sending these immigrants to a notoriously awful prison, is to deter illegal immigration in to the US. Make an example?

If they are forced to take this guy back, then that opens the door to litigate everyone sent to that prison. It would be a huge loss for Trump and that's why I believe they are ignoring the order.

In the realm of "words mean things"

The Federal judge was already told by SCOTUS this is out of his jurisdiction...

SCOTUS did not say "bring him back" they said "facilitate" his return...

Currently, there is nothing to "facilitate" as El Salvador has stated unequivocally, they are not releasing him.

Bottomline...Game over

Trump paid them to put these people in prison. If he wanted to get him back, he could get him back. They haven't even tried and they're not going to.
